We were getting ready to eat dinner yesterday and Eli was getting his chocolate milk out of the refrigerator. I asked him if I could have a drink of his milk. He said no, and walked away with it. Shelby told him that we are a sharing family and that we all need to share with each other. Eli asked very seriously, "Where are my manners?" He walks back over to where I'm standing in the kitchen and says, "Daddy, I have no idea where my manners went."...then he handed me his chocolate milk so I could have a drink. To teach him a lesson, I drank the whole bottle. Just kidding, I took a small drink and handed it back to him. I thought it was cute that he was so serious about recognizing that he wasn't using his manners.
I love you Eli. You amaze me every day.
