Boy's Day!!!

Today was Boy's Day again!  You know what makes me so excited about Boy's Day?  The fact that Eli is so excited about Boy's Day.  Most of the time, we start off Boy's Day doing whatever he wants to do.  That usually means going to Toys R Us.

We spent about an hour in the store.  I try not to buy him something every single time we do this, but it doesn't stop him from trying out about 100 different toys, including helmets...

I said I "try" not to get him something every time...well, I caved again...

Next, we went to Kohls looking for a winter hat for me.  That turned into a contest to see who could try on the most hats!

We always end Boy's Day with lunch or dinner at Smokey Bones.  We both always get the same thing, too. 
I can't even explain how much I love Boy's Days.  I can only hope that Eli always wants to have Boy's Day with me.

Playing in the Snow

Daddy and Eli (mostly Eli) decided to go outside in the snow and have a snowball fight and go sledding.  Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want to leave a nice, warm, cozy house to go out in the cold.  Anyway, Eli ended up getting the better of me in the snowball fight.  I'm not sure why, but this kid absolutely loves being out in the snow.  He would stay out for hours if we let him.  He doesn't mind being cold, but he hates the heat.  During the hottest part of the summer, he wants to just stay in the house where it's cool...and I can't blame him for that either.

Peggi's Birthday Dinner

We met at Sara's house this year for Peggi's birthday dinner.  Casey cooked up some tacos and man, were they good!  Peggi, Shelby, and I took turns holding little Alison.  Eli was a good boy.  He watched a little of The Sandlot 2 (which was terrible, by the way).  After we ate and Peggi opened her presents, Eli got to play on the Wii for a while. 

Boy's Day

Whenever Shelby does something with her friends or family, and me and Eli do something together, we call it 'boy's day'. We usually go out to eat (Smokey Bones most of the time), go to a park, mall, etc.
He called me into the kitchen a couple of days ago to show me what he wrote on our calendar and this is what I saw...

Several days marked 'boy's day'. That makes me feel so good. I love you Eli.
